BEATON / STUBBS. - Researching the families of Neil BEATON and Sarah STUBBS and their descendents in Dufferin County. Also, looking for Neil BEATON's siblings (most lived in King Twp. 1830-1870), John, Janet, Christiana, Archibald, Flora, Ann (Nancy), Mary, Mary Regan (adopted) and Daniel McIntyre (grandson raised.) BROWN/DODDS - I am researching the family of John BROWN (b. 1798, Ireland; m. 1826, County Armagh; d. 1886) and his wife, Phoebe DODDS (b. 1806, County Armagh; d. 1887). I am particularly interested in learning more about their early lives in Wellington/Dufferin county as well as information regarding their siblings and ancestors as I do not know anything about their heritage. The BROWN's and their descendants lived in Farmington, Amaranth Township from about 1847 to about 1913. Of course, I would be happy to share my research with any descendants. BROWN / TRIMBLE / RITCHIE - I am looking for descendants of Robert BROWN and Olivia L. TRIMBLE married at 1876. Their children were Jane BROWN married ?? to William RITCHIE no date, Elizabeth BROWN married Joseph RITCHIE, Phoebe L. BROWN married ?? BROWN / WIGGINS - Looking for information on BROWN WIGGINS family. George BROWN married 1861 in Garafraxa and died in Amaranth and buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Orangeville. He married Margaret WIGGINS and they had 13 children. Family> children are John b. 1862, William b. 1864, George b. 1870 moved to Seattle, Wash. Robert A. b. 1871, Samuel b. 1873, Joshua b. 1875, Phoebe b. 1876 d. 1904, Mary b. 1878, Levi b. 1880, Alfred b. 1883, Wilbert b. 1884 and W. CARSON - I am looking for the Carson family of Mono (Henry b1808) and Albion (Charles b1803?) who settled in the Cardwell District around 1830. PARSONS - I am researching Robert and Margaret (Margret) (Fee) PARSONS family. Robert emigrated from Meade County Ireland, about 1846 with his brother Henry. Henry stayed in the York (Toronto) area. Their parents were John and Sarah PARSONS. Robert is in the 1851 Garafraxa Township, Orangeville, Wellington County, Canada West (Ontario) Census with Margret. Robert was a listed as a minister in the census and I assume he was serving a Methodist/Congregational Church. Margret died in childbirth in 1851. STODDART/GREEN - I am researching the family of Joseph STODDART (b. 1826, Toronto Township, Peel; d. 1889, Buffalo, New York) and his wife Leurania GREEN (b. 1835 in what is now the Brampton area, Peel; d. 1907, Buffalo, New York). I am interested in learning about their 100 acre farm located at Concession 1, Lot 19, Amaranth Township, Dufferin. This property was sold to Joseph STODDART by Elizabeth SILVERTHORN in 1868 and stayed in the STODDART family until 1901 when it was sold to Robert HEGGIEV. I believe that Elizabeth SILVERTHORN may have been Leurania GREEN's mother, but I need further confirmation. Also, does anyone know who owns this property today and whether it is still a farm? I have extensive information on the STODDART family and no information on the GREEN/SILVERTHORN family. Of course, I would be happy to share my research with any descendants. TRUDGEON - I am researching the TRUDGEON family of James and Anthony TRUDGEON (brothers) who emigrated from Cornwall to Melancthon, Grey County, Ontario, about 1845. Their parents were Anthony TRUDGEON Sr. and Jenepher BEST who stayed in Cornwall when their two sons emigrated. Another son, Thomas TRUDGEON and Thomasin BEST came to Victoria, Australia. I am trying to locate any descendents of the TRUDGEON family in the area of Melancthon, Ontario. Please contact James at gumnut23@hotmail.com
WALLACE/CURRY - I am researching the family of William WALLACE (b. 1795, Ireland; m. about 1827, Ireland; d. 1853) and his wife Ann CURRY (b. 1808, County Monaghan, Ireland; d. 1891, Amaranth Township).
