PTE. H. A. WHITE
Mr. James White, Orangeville resident, has just
received word from the Imperial War Graves Commission that a permanent memorial
has been erected in the Coriano Ridge War Cemetery, Italy, over the grave of his
son, Private Herbert Anthony White, who was
killed in action in Italy during the last World War. On occasion the
father proudly displays the medals awarded his son for his services to the
Government and people of Canada. These include the 1939-1945 Campaign
Star, The Italy Star, The 18 months Service Medal with Overseas clasp, The King
George Victory Medal, and the Cross awarded posthumously following his death.
