Grand Valley Union Cemetery
(Last updated November 05, 2006)

This cemetery is located in Grand Valley.  Just before the curve in the bend towards the downtown core, turn right and go onto the bridge.  Take a quick left and then turn right - this cemetery is right at the end of the street.

Orangeville Banner dated 02-Nov-1916 Page 7, Column 1
Two Chinamen visited Grand Valley last week and exhumed the body of a Chinaman who committed suicide in that village about eight years ago.  The remains will be taken to China and buried with the ancestors of the deceased. At the time of the tragedy the Chinamen who took charge of the funeral marked the grave very carefully and intimated that after a certain time the remains would be removed to China.

Orangeville Banner dated 22-May-1919 Page 1, Column 4
