Giving you quicker access to over 622,000 obituaries
This page was last updated: Tuesday December 29, 2009
www.ontarioobits.com was formed to be able to help genealogists gain access to obituaries, to connect researchers with others and to help those without access to microfilms. Most current obituaries can be found on the internet. Historical obituaries are mainly supplied by volunteers who have passed them on to the project. If you are interesting in submitting obituaries, please visit the volunteer section of this website. Donations are always welcome to assist in the purchase of obituary-related publications, purchase of online subscriptions to complete requests, microfilm copying costs, etc.
Please note that there has been a delay in fulfilling obituary requests and thank you, in advance, for your patience.

Before searching, please read the instructions on how to request an obituary - which keeps the request process flowing quickly. Ninety per cent of the obituaries indexed are retained for easy access. Should you request one that is not accessible, I will send you a note and add it to the request page.
1.
Perform your search
2.
Copy and paste the exact index line into your email request -
Please DO NOT retype the index line into your email as it
may result in errors.
If the index you are looking for contains *JFLH please visit
"Jude's
Family & Local History" to obtain that obituary.
3.
Send your email along and it will be processed as soon as possible.
4.
A maximum of 5 requests per email is requested
Please note that if you are requesting more than a
reasonable amount of obituaries that you can find online, a donation will be requested to ensure that
this volunteer-based website can keep running.
ONTARIO VISITORS - PLEASE VISIT
PUBLICATIONS LINK AND
REQUESTS PAGES TO SEE IF YOU CAN HELP....
Though requesting obituaries is free of charge through this site, if you are looking for a particular surname and would like all obits that have been transcribed and include this surname, send me a note. The fee is based on the number of obituaries being sent - which will be discussed before the transaction is completed. E-mail Jan Donations are always accepted to ensure that this project continues. If interested, please see the contact information below.
